Jingle All The Way

stamp: freebie from craft magazine
others: leaf dies, border punch, pastel, Copic, Spellbinder circle die, white gel pen

The santa clear stamp is a freebie from craft magazine. I stamped it onto a small piece of white cardstock, coloured with Copic and fussy cut out the image.

On another piece of white card stock, I coloured the background with lilac pastel and dotted with white gel pen to create snowy scene. Adhere to the back of the front panel card which was cut out with a circle die. I used foam tape to prop up the Santa image.

Embellish the card with diecut leaves from the left over cardstock that was made for the background scene. Punch the border of a patterned paper and adhere to the bottom of the card. Stamped the sentiment with red ink pad to finish it off.

I am playing in the Butterfly Challenge where there is element of using windmill on the card. There is a tutorial on making this windmill on the blog as well and I learned something new today. Christmas

Stamp: Christmas Tree from Hot Off The Press, a freebie from Simply Cards & Papercraft 102, poinsettia die, MS Snowflake punch, soft pastel, Spellbinder Classic Oval die, Cuttlebug embossing folder

I die-cut an oval shape from white cardstock and then embossed it. Coloured the background using soft pastel on another piece of cardstock and adhered to the back of the embossed cardstock. Stamped the tree stamp and added poinsettia flower and the sentiment which was stamped on snippet of leftover white cardstock.

I am inspired by Judy's (of Double D Challenges DT) card, a technique which I have never tried before. Love the outcome.
