L/O: Precious Little Miracle

Paper and cut out embellishment: Kaisercraft Peekaboo Girl
TA Glimmer Mist, TH distress ink

Shabby chic style on the roll...my 2nd layout for this week! I start to like it, playing with distressing ink, misting, edge distresser and layering flowers and leaves on the layout.

I was inspired by a very talented crafter Mina with her shabby chic style layout. She's done a fabulous step-by-step video and I picked up lots of tips from her tutorial.

Made this layout based on C'est Manifique June sketch

and again, inspired by the soft pink colour of the rosettes in Scrap Around The World June Mood Board challenge.

Summer Tag

image: Magnolia
medium: Faber Castel water colour pencils
others: daisy punch, Sizzix leaf die, Spellbinder Label 4 die,
lace, daisy punches, pearl, bling, air-dry lightweight clay, butterfly silicone mold

I re-colour this image using water colour pencils and the image was lightly stamped to avoid bold inking on the line. Made the flower using crunching technique and added gesso on the edge of the petals.

I made the butterfly using air-dry lightweight clay with a bakery type silicone butterfly mold. It does not need oven to bake and will cure within 24 hours. However, to speed up the drying time and for easy removal from the mold, I put it inside the freezer for a couple of hours and voila, the clay can be easily taken out and did not lose any fine detail too!

Challenges:
  1. Midweek Magnolias - fun in the sun
  2. All About Magnolia - lace and pearl
  3. Magnolia Mania - bling
  4. Card and Scrap - tag
  5. Noor! Design (UK) - here comes summer
