Sympathy Card

Stamp: Butterfly embossing folder and stamp (freebie from Papercraft Essential#104), With Sympathy clear stamp, floral oval frame clear stamp
Others: Ink It Up stamp pad, white card

I embossed the white card with the floral butterfly embossing folder, a freebie from craft magazine. Quite easy to make this card actually, no colouring needed. I fussy cut the stamped butterfly and the framed sentiment, adhered onto corrugated paper for some dimension before adhering to the card.

Inking the clear stamp with Memento dye ink did not yield satisfactory result (see below photo) as compare to using Ink It Up stamp pad which cost half the price of Memento.

Challenges:

  1. Double "D" Challenges - black and white only
  2. Word Art Wednesday - anything goes
  3. Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - spring moodboard (inspire by the flowers)

Easel Easter Card

Stamp: Magnolia Tilda With Flower In Her Hair
tools: watercolour pencils, pastel, Spellbinder Label 4 die, EK Scallop Circle punch, bling butterfl, patterned paper

Attempting an easel card using a normal card size folded the front in half as a stand for the card. Today I found out that I can use pastel instead of ink to distress the edge of the patterned papers! The pastel bought from Japanese thrifty store for less than 2 dollar!

Challenges:
  1. Buttferfly Challenge - Easel card + butterfly
  2. TOMIC - Challenge #2 Easter + animal or egg
  3. Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - anything goes
  4. Word Art Wednesday - anything goes

Sunflower Bookmark

Sunflower rubber stamp, TH distress ink pad  (Tea Dye, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed ), recycle cloth tag, watercolour

Eversince I participated in a craft challeng with watercolour theme, I have been addicted using watercolour to create bookmark.  I surf the internet looking for watercolour stamping tutorial and saw Anna's (of Layers of Ink blog) tutorial. Love her watercolour stamping, simple and beautiful. I tried to emulate but the result is far from satisfactory as seen here.

I inked the stamp and misted with water, stamped onto watercolour paper. Using an aqua brush, I picked up some darker colour and coloured the centre of the flower. The background was coloured with a combination of distress ink and watercolour.

Challenges:
  1. Ally's Angels - anything goes
  2. Simon Says Monday Challenge - beautiful blooms
  3. TCP Tuesday #356 - spring
  4. Penny Black and More Challenge - spring
