Sunflower Bookmark

Sunflower rubber stamp, TH distress ink pad  (Tea Dye, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed ), recycle cloth tag, watercolour

Eversince I participated in a craft challeng with watercolour theme, I have been addicted using watercolour to create bookmark.  I surf the internet looking for watercolour stamping tutorial and saw Anna's (of Layers of Ink blog) tutorial. Love her watercolour stamping, simple and beautiful. I tried to emulate but the result is far from satisfactory as seen here.

I inked the stamp and misted with water, stamped onto watercolour paper. Using an aqua brush, I picked up some darker colour and coloured the centre of the flower. The background was coloured with a combination of distress ink and watercolour.

Challenges:
  1. Ally's Angels - anything goes
  2. Simon Says Monday Challenge - beautiful blooms
  3. TCP Tuesday #356 - spring
  4. Penny Black and More Challenge - spring
