Christmas Gatefold Card

Christmas tree stamp (freebie from Cardmaking & Papercraft 2014 magazine), snowflake stencil, dot & paisley patterned embossing folder, curvy die, oval die, border punch, snowflake punch, Tuti soft pastel

First, I stamped the Christmas tree and diecut with oval die. I coloured the background with soft pastel.

Cut 2 pieces white card stock to make the front panel. Used snowflake stencil and broad foundation brush to colour the background with Broken China distress ink. It was easy breezy, done in a jiffy.

For the inner inlay, I coloured the background with Tuti soft pastel before embossed it. Stamped the sentiment and diecut with the coordinating curvy die. Punch the border from white cardstock and also big snowflake to embellish the inner card.

    Hello Friend

Adam Prescott designed clear stamp freebie from Cardmaking magazine, wood pattern embossing folder, Memento ink pad, Faber Castell watercolour pencil

                                                    snippet of white cardstock

This freebie clear stamp from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine bought more than 10 years ago. Been keeping the stamp inside drawer, never use it before. The stamp is quite tiny, so I had no idea how to incorporate into cardmaking until I saw some fabulous cards in Pinterest.

I used the negative of an oval diecut as mask for colouring the the background with Memento ink and brush. The image was stamped onto another piece of white cardstock, coloured and fussy cut. Snippet of leftover white cardstock is used to stamp the sentiment.

    Challenges:

    Mon Ami

Stamp: Technique Tuesday 'Mon Ami Paris', Titi soft pastel

Easiest card ever made. Coloured the background with soft pastel. This Korean made pastel is quite smooth and easy to with on any surface material. The colour is more vibrant than my other sets bought from local store.

Love the Technique Tuesday stamp, as the image printed is superbly sharp even though the Eiffel Tower image has quite tiny details on it. Never been to Paris but I love the iconic tower.
